About Program
The NextGen Tech Training Program is a World Bank-financed initiative awarded to the Federal Government of Nigeria through the Federal Ministry of Education. The project aims to enhance Nigeria’s Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) System in Nigeria.
This IDEAS (Innovation Development and Effectiveness in the Acquisition of Skills) Project is powered by the Federal Government of Nigeria, through The Federal Ministry of Education.
It is aimed at empowering 1,000 Youths with relevant technology skills needed to thrive in the marketplace and create a prosperous future for themselves and the Nation.

Experience Levels
Beginner:
Applicants must be aged 15-50 years, have a secondary school certificate or equivalent. Applicants must reside in the southwestern region of Nigeria and have a good understanding of the English language.
Intermediate:
Applicants should be aged 15-50 years, possess at least a secondary school certificate (with preference for STEM degree holders). Some prior experience in tech or a related field is advantageous but not mandatory. Applicants must reside in the southwestern region of Nigeria, be proficient in English, and pass a 15-20 question test.
Expert:
Applicants to be aged 15-50 years, have a secondary school certificate or equivalent (STEM degree holders are strongly preferred). Prior experience in tech or a related field is highly advantageous. Applicants must be residents of the southwestern region of Nigeria and be proficient in English.
Eligibility Criteria
- Be willing to commit to the program for 6 months
- Lagos and Ekiti Residence only
- Minimum of SSCE Certificate
- Proficiency in English language
